Here We Go.

Project #1 - My crocheted scarf.
So I admit that I didn't do this all in one week, but I did finish it this week, and here it is.  Ta-da.  I was really happy with the way it turned out, and the warmth it provided!  At a balmy -14F this morning, it came in handy on my morning commute (I keep trying to remind myself how beautiful it is here while my hair is frozen and it's so cold my eyebrows hurt).

About a year ago now, one of my good friends taught me this trade.  I already knew how to knit, but I really love the space between stitches that you get when you crochet.  It gives the piece a more lacy feel.
I used a double crochet and single crochet pattern, and ended up making it a loop or never-ending scarf.  Those are the warmest scarves in my opinion.  This may be the first of many crocheted pieces that I concoct.  Hope you enjoy!

  2. Thank you! And thanks for teaching me how to crochet! Here's hoping I can do this!
P.S. I would love to feature a crafty friend if you have any ideas of who would like to do that? ;)
